Suzlon’s ₹550 Crore Bet on AI-Driven Wind Manufacturing

Renewable energy solutions provider Suzlon Group plans to invest ₹550 crore to set up three state-of-the-art, AI-powered wind blade manufacturing plants in Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Karnataka by 2027.

According to Co-Founder Girish Tanti, the project will be fully funded through internal accruals, with ₹200 crore directed toward the Tamil Nadu unit. By placing the new facilities closer to primary wind project sites, Suzlon aims to optimize logistics and speed up equipment delivery. The addition brings Suzlon’s total footprint to 18 factories, equipping the company to efficiently execute its 6 GW order book recorded in March 2026.
